Urgently I recommend on default switch to disable System optimize option in WimBoot.script
Because use of this option by not experienced users will lead to occurrence of untrue reports about errors!!!

When used as a source of SP3, some files are missing.
This error is due to the following statement that Line 731 between line 755.

Everything gets copied fine but the shortcut path is wrong. It shows B:\Program Files\Pstart.exe
There is an application at: [PE Drive Letter]:\portables\Pstart.exe
I want to have a shortcut @ the desktop to that program.
Here is what I have:
[process]
Echo,"Creating %ProgramTitle%..."
DirCopy,"%ScriptDir%\PStart\*.*","%TargetDir%\portables"
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,,,,,,"%PDRIVE%\portables\%ProgramEXE%"
I tried these too and lots more which I don't remember:
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,"%PDRIVE%\portables\%ProgramEXE%"
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,"%PDRIVE%\portables\Pstart.exe"
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,"%USBdrive%\portables\%ProgramEXE%"
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,"%USBdrive%\portables\Pstart.exe"
So I'm out of ideas and I don't what I'm doing wrong.
BTW I know that this application doesn't have a program folder. I did it on purpose.
Tnx.

If you want to write the string '%PDRIVE%', you have to use escapes:
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,,,,,,"#$pPDRIVE#$p\portables\%ProgramEXE%"
Program Files <> Portables:
Did you define
[variables] %ProgramTitle%=??? %ProgramEXE%=??? %ProgramFolder%=???Correctly?
Peter
EDIT: BTW your syntax defines the icon for the shortcut.
I think you want to define the exe.
That is
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,,"%PDRIVE%\portables\%ProgramEXE%"or
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,,"#$pPDRIVE#$q\portables\%ProgramEXE%"resp.
Take care of the TWO commas!
Complete Syntax:
Add_Shortcut,[Type],[Folder],[FullFileName],[Title],[Work Folder],[Parameters],[IconFile( .ico .exe)],[StartMode(1, 2, 3, or 4)]

Here is the problem. I used ProgramFilesPE and changed "Program Files" to "Portables".
I have a simple script inside Apps folder with structure like this.
Portable -> PStart -> Pstart.exe
Portable -> Pstart -> Pstart.xml
Portable -> Pstart.script
Pstart.script will copy everything inside Pstart folder to portables folder.
Now I want to make a shortcut to [PE Driver]:\portables\Pstart.exe on the desktop.
This is what I have and it does not work.
[Main] Title=PStart Author=Amin Level=5 Version=010 Description=PStart Locked=false Contact= Date=22.02.2010 Selected=True Download_Level=1 [variables] %ProgramTitle%=Pstart %ProgramEXE%=PStart.exe %ProgramFolder%=Pstart [Interface] pCheckBox1="Add desktop shortcut",1,3,35,63,145,18,True pCheckBox3="Add quicklaunch shortcut",1,3,4,24,160,18,True pCheckBox2="Add start menu shortcut",1,3,35,98,145,18,True pCheckBox4="Add startup shortcut",1,3,4,60,160,18,True pTextBox1="Start menu folder:",1,0,36,133,168,21,"PStart" [process] Echo,"Creating %ProgramTitle%..." DirCopy,"%ScriptDir%\PStart\*.*","%TargetDir%\portables" Add_Shortcut,Desktop,,"#$pPDRIVE#$p\portables\Pstart.exe"
Tnx again for your help.

I tried it like that too.
Both of the samples will create a shortcut to:
[Ram Drive]:\portables\portables\PStart.exe
It also creates 2 folders called PStart.exe and PStart.xml. And yes they are folders.
It's VERY strange!!!
