Finaly Pedro Le is back. Welcome!

MakeScript_V10 makes two errors: on some places it generates “Shorcut”
and in interfaces “CheckBoxShortcutQ”. If you just correct those two will
be enough not to mention adjustments to latest developments of WB and nativeEx.

I like your other tutorial. Even if its bigger when decompressed. This one has to many flying fragments. One reason its huge its probably because of capturing the whole screen. It not bad, since it compresses to 4MB. Try using the DIVX compression, see if that gives lower size.

You can show the video here.

- Start a reply
- Look on the "Quick Acess" box on your left under the emoticon
- Click on "Insert: YouTube" (last item)
- Add your film code (on the case you've posted it's something like H-bkjBDDqBY)

And other users only need to click play to view your clip, look here for an example

Really liked the tutorial - makes it really easy to follow back your steps and understand correctly how to use the program.. :confused1:

What tool have you used to capture the video? :confused1:

Thank you :confused1:
I've use CamStudio :confused1:
For good view you must define the area to capture as 400 300

batch file. can i do this with the present build and how or is this something not available?

thanks

I think you have see my MakeScript avi Video , I show an exemple with PartitionMagic
I'have convert the batch file from a BartPE plugin to an autoIt compiled script

@ECHO OFF

start %ProgramFilesDir%\PartitionMagic\PMagicNT.exe /pqb=B:\pq8.pqb
To
Run("PMagicNT.exe /pqb=B:\pq8.pqb")
When you compile the script you can select the icon you want
I hope it is what you want

New in version 12
VISTA script
Run From CD (For XP only) when use BootSDI or CreateRamIso
Ini file to save all option so you can make a script just by open the ini file
and I hope somebody can convert a Barte plugin to an MakeScript ini file

Pedro, would you please include a link to the latest version or webpage on your signature?

I'm working on a new Create Script tab for wb and users will be able to add code snippets onto their new scripts and even launch executables to guide on this process - I've added this feature since makeScript is becoming a very user friendly tool to create scripts.

There will be a new folder inside Tools called "Templates" and MakeScript.exe can be placed on the on this location - it is important to only have a single exe inside this folder since wbzip and 7za are non-gui apps and can also be available on the tools folder.

Each application that is launched from this Templates tab is started with two parameters. The first is the value of %basedir% and the second is the value of the new script and respective path (if available)

This way I hope that MakeScript has enough informations to create a new script.

btw: Is it possible to include the icons inside the application itself to make it completely standalone?

Thanks!! :1st:

OK, I will make on my site a Folder "MakeScript_Last" wich contain only the last version
and add a link to my signature

Is it possible to include the icons inside the application itself to make it completely standalone?

No , but i can remove them and use text rather icon

I don't know wich way take for next version
I'have cut MakeScript in two part
The first have only the interface and make an ini file with all value
The second (can have no window or run hide) is run with ini file in command line parameter and make the script

or

Stay with one application contain the two part
but the program start with the second part and if no file in command line give choice to make a new script or open an ini file

Extention for ini file "MKS" I dont know ?

Some idea are welcome

It's just an opinion, but I don't think you should worry too much about command line script creation at this moment mostly because the biggest advantage comes from the easy to understand GUI which allows people to create good scripts by themselves.

The GUI is the one who should improve where possible. One detail I've noticed: can AutoIt support XP manifest files?

This wouldn't take any extra space and make use of the newer themes for buttons and edit boxes.

A command line option could be usefull to save time but that is something that probably very few people would use and you can always introduce it later when more people demand it..

About creating new extensions, a simple INI extension is easily opened by double-click from the explorer window, other not so known extensions might mislead people to think that it can't be open by notepad - personally a custom extension wouldn't make much difference to me but I'm trying to see this as person new to these works would view it.

The new beta I've mentioned was uploaded, hope you could also place support for those two parameters I've described above.

To support something like:

MakeScript.exe c:\WinBuilder c:\WinBuilder\Projects\LiveXP\Apps\MyApp.script

Hopefully makescript shall be included soon on the tools folder by default, where it can also use 7za.exe and wbzip.exe.

I think I'll just add a small dummy MakeScript.exe to place on the templates folder which will then start the real MakeScript from the tools folder with the respective parameters.

This way all users can enjoy it.. :1st:

MakeScript 12 for test (Look my signature)
I take now the icon for open folder from shell32.dll
I have add two command line parameter , the first for %BaseDir% and second for the full path of the script to make
You must give the two parameter
Path for WBzip and 7zip are get from %BaseDir%
The filename you give in param 2 is renamed during process and at the end renamed to the original name

Support for VistaPE but not finish so some bug

Hi..

Been testing the latest version, here's some details I've noticed:

- The about box doesn't fully display the text on the box where MakeScript text is placed (my resolution is 1024x768)

- Having a single executable is excellent for including this file itself on the templates folder, so I've tried running it from this new tool to see how it would work - one detail noticed, under the source tab you can also place the value of the filename for the script as default since the user is "forced" to enter a valid filename before launching your tool. This should also be the default title when no other option is selected at start.

- One request: How about a new icon for the Action button that creates the script?

Quick googled for some images and here's the result:

- Liked the support for XP themes.. :1st:

Will keep testing and let further, thanks for the update!

Updated
Correct some bug
Put WBzip on my page for download (you must have this file in Tools folder)
MakeScript must be in " Project\Tools\Templates\"

i have a big request. can you include i a future build the ability for a short cut to point to an external .ico? it would be useful for running bat or cmd files as the executable. h7plugin builder now uses this option. your script builder handles the expand command instead of copy command better.

thanks
carfan
