I can offer only 1, Extra

OK, midway is fine.

But note that app script downloading to here would need to have proper interface options to specify start menu folder -- else they get the name 'Extra' by default.

Galapo.

OK, midway is fine.

Nice to read we come to an end, I am very happy now :)

i am checking all scripts to have right startmenu folder :)

With combining apps all together in single apps, i guess we need to rearrange livexp apps too :). I will look closely to the combination, i need to investigate more now, tomorrow :)

Now i need more help

When i start this idea, the application gather folder was a different named folder than Apps (Apps_A) , so i was free to organise with branches and subbranches.
but now the default download folder is Apps, so now i am on the distinction of the road,

there are 2 ways:
1st way: I can reorganise scripts by the way of LiveXP apps branches (opposite direction of arrows on picture)
2nd way: We can come to a conclusion of a new apps folder for LiveXP by using my work so than i can rearrange with this new LiveXP branches

Currently LiveXP branches have its equalivent (mostly) branches in my organisation (picture tries to show that)

Posted Image

If we decide to go in the 2nd way, My first comments will be about Compression and FTP folders on LiveXP.
For reasons i wrote before no need to have Compression on StartMenu that way
and it is better not to have FTP and put scripts in Internet (Minimalistic :) )

or maybe Galapo decide to use my folder structure with LiveXP by some addings and removing ?!?!?

I dont know what to do now, i need your opinions to go further ????

No, else our work here did not bear much fruit.

2nd way: We can come to a conclusion of a new apps folder for LiveXP by using my work so than i can rearrange with this new LiveXP branches

Yes, this is what Amalux and I agreed earlier.

or maybe Galapo decide to use my folder structure with LiveXP by some addings and removing ?!?!?

Yes, you or me.

Regarding FTP, it gave me an idea: rather than two folders 'Internet' and 'Network', could be combine into one 'Net' folder perhaps. This would suit me, but not sure about others.

Regards,
Galapo.

This is a funny discussion - why do you make such a big deal about such a simple issue ?
Just allow users to create their personal startmenu by drag 'n' drop once.
When he has customized his personal startmenu zip it and add it to next build.

The discussion is about two related issues: a) project app folders on the project server(s); and b) resultant creation of folders in the project on the user's harddisk during project download.

This only secondarily affects start menu organisation. Still, the user is free to organise as desired by entering such details on relevant scripts.

Galapo.

That's OK -- likely LODR-apps may not have these worries!

I reorganised scripts of LiveXP

During reorganisation some changes made:
Diagnostic added
Visual added
Repair name changed to Recover
Forensic\mitec_wfa.script copied to Diagnostic

ps: an idea, maybe Recover and Diagnostic may come together in a single name, maybe not ? (like Recover_Diagnostic)
ps: Instead of Visual i offer Tweaks ???

here is cdcat file, please check, i dont know every script very well.

Change 'HD Tasks\Erase_Remove_Wipe' to 'HD Tasks\Erasing' or 'HD Tasks\Erase'.

Diagnostic added

Good. HDHacker.script needs a new location.

Visual added

Good.

maybe Recover and Diagnostic may come together in a single name, maybe not ? (like Recover_Diagnostic)

I think I like them separate at the moment.

Instead of Visual i offer Tweaks ???

Would seem to be good, as this would allow non-visual things to be placed there.

I'm still not sure about having all three of these: 'Debug', 'HW Diagnostic', and 'HW Info'. Could one of these be collapsed into the other?

Regards,
Galapo.

HDHacker.script moved to hd tasks

Visual changed to Tweaks

There is no 'HW Diagnostic', and 'HW Info' on LiveXP project scripts, only in extra.
Better asking with giving example:

'Debug' from LiveXP is:
dependency_walker.script
jedi_dependencyviewer.script
jedi_toolhelpviewer.script
regscanner.script
regshot.script
serviwin.script

'HW Diagnostic' from Extra
DiskCheckup_Amalux.script
DiskInv_Amalux.script
H2testw_Amalux.script
victoria_Nightman.script

'HW Info' from Extra
Aida_Tamas.script
CoolMon_Amalux.script
CPU-Z_Amalux.script
EVEREST_Ultimate_Edition.script
WinDirStatPortable_paf.script

What you offer ?

How about 'HW Diagnostic' and 'HW Info' combining? Take your pick which folder name. serviwin.script should then be moved to whatever this folder is (meaning create this folder in LiveXP project). I don't know what regscanner.script is off the top of my head, but it might possibly need moving too.

Galapo.

Going good!

For 'Erase_Remove_Wipe' choose between 'Erase' 'Remove' or 'Wipe' I think.

Galapo.

Not sure I like 'Registry' in the root.

How about we call remove it and move the script from there to 'HW Info' and then rename 'HW Info' to 'System Info'?

Regards,
Galapo.

sorry, my misusage of cdcat, here is the new file:

http://lancelot.winb...00901220500.rar

I guess amalux like
System\mitec_registry_repair.script, System\regedit-api.script, System\regscanner.script, System\Runscanner.Script, System\Debug\regshot.script in a different folder named "Registry"!!!. (i look amalux's winbuilder site but couldnt find any "Registry" folder in "MyScripts"

If in future needed, i dont think it will be a problem to create a new folder and move the scripts.

For now, are we in the end of the road ?

Yes, I think so. But let's wait for Amalux's comment. Maybe he would like a 'System\Registry' folder perhaps?

Thanks for your time on this.

Galapo.

Hey, thanks guys - it's looking great! :)

Lancelot, you have really done a fantastic job here - thank you :)

OK, re 1_Lancelot_Test_200901220500 -

I would probably make 'Antivirus_Malware' just 'Antivirus' and change 'Windows Install Tools' to 'OS Setup' and 'Mbr' to 'MBR' ?? but it's awesome as is so I won't nit pick.

re 1_Lancelot_Test_200901220500_apps -

I find the '1Extra' sub redundant and unnecessary??, why can't it be the same structure as above?? I admit I haven't read every post so, in a nutshell, why is this required? I'll be reading through again to find out what this is and if it's really required then I retract this criticism and re-assert above praise and minor suggestions :)

:)

Almost forgot, YES, there should be System/Registry :)
