Just 'wall-cmd'.
The script unzips the .zip straight to 'Program Files', and executes the .exe and creates a shortcut to the .exe in 'Program Files\wall-cmd\'. ATM everything unzips into Program Files without a sub-folder.
I can change it, or you can change it for the other three people who might have downloaded the Project already and are wondering what's going wrong... umm, except they might never delete the current .zip and be stuck with it forever ... ...
Let me think... a new script, and a new .zip name? ...

If I have time I can do an MD5 script to make sure users don't have the non-functioning one... but they'd need to be online.
It'll be OK.

Looks like you've gone all 'astronomical' and beautiful shots.
Some are a liitle too dark up the top for my transparent top bars, tho.
One day we'll see if wew can get it working in WinPE 3.0 (Win7).
... and thanks. It's great working with you ... ...

I see your logo briefly popup. When it fades out, it leaves behind a black space in the default wallpaper. That's all that happens.
Is that a clue? Something missing in the new PE?

hmm, check if gdiplus.dll is present in teh PE build, it is used to convert wallpaper to bmp...
Damian666
Similar to pe2.1 except for the sxs folder names. Hope you don't mind screen shots. I'd hate to have to type it.
C:\mount\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.windows.gdiplus_6595b64144ccf1df_1.0.7000.0_none_7ea202c2d451
09d4
and
C:\mount\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.windows.gdiplus_6595b64144ccf1df_1.1.7000.0_none_80887a5cd177
566d
root is c:\mount
... haven't we done this before? ... ...

ok, try this for me... add gdiplus in the same dir as the wallcmd, and see what happens ^^

I haven't tried winpe 3.0 much.
It's not just your logo that leaves black holes in the wallpaper. Even the cmd window. And when BGInfo is refreshed, it superimposes itself on the desktop without the previous BGInfo disappearing (for instance when it's refreshed after network is started).
Weird. Everything works in pe2.1

I can see the \windows\BGInfo.bmp and \windows\system32\winpe.bmp, no wallpaper.bmp
Would you rather do this on that messenger thing? ... I'd have to find it and re-install it again ... what was it called?

why... beats me... on normal windows 7 it works flawlessly...
maybe its not allowed to put a file in the windir...
hmm... let me think...

well, seems the conversion of the wallpaper fails

hmm... let me think...
BGInfo.bmp is in there from the start and then refreshes OK. Should I put a wallpaper.bmp there as well (when building) and see if it changes when the wallcmd.exe /r is executed?

In WinPE 3.0. At build-time, copied system32\winpe.wim to windows\wallpaper.bmp. At boot.time, wallcmd /r is auto-started, but there is no change change in the wallpaper. After wallcmd.exe /r - no chnage. No black holes though.
