@ctmag
Is possible to add another TAB in VPELDR.exe with a logon- password- maybe based on MD5- in order to lock the workstation? Cbox script is doing something too similar to this new script. so I think it's better to join the idea..and add to the autoit interface this new "tab"

For now this experiment stops here....nightman wrote he is working on something new, so it is a waste of time to play around with vpeldr.exe now...lets see what he comes up with...give it a few more weeks...

This is the REAL THING and the real news: so NightMan is alive and well and he is working on his project again! Do he said any date he will release 12 final?

Hi Markus,

I just made the first quick check of your new vpeldr.exe using WinBuilder 076, VistaPE 12 RC1 and Vista DVD SP1 as source. I integrated a required network driver (VMware NIC) using DaveXPs peimg script. I configured a VMware not to emulate Intel/PRO 1000 but old style VMware NIC and booted VistaPE with your new vpeldr.exe. The network was started OK without any additional user action.

More tests with storage devices will follow.

Many Greetings
MichaelZ

BUG REPORT

1. The pc started from a PE CD, the shortcut linked to the programs on cd was built correctly.

2. started from a Local HDD (pe in it), nothing wrong.

3. from USB HDD (pe in it), nothing wrong.

4. from USB Flash Disk with HDD simulation (pe in it), NO shortcut to program on USB Flash was built.

er, my pool English, I wish you can understand.

I want to say.

if the start device is a cd, local hdd or usb hdd, the shortcut to the programs in "%CDDrive%\Programs" directory can be built correctly.

but if the start device is a usb flash disk (hdd simulated, my computer do not support zip mode), the shortcut to the programs in "%CDDrive%\Programs" CANNOT be built correctly.

Hi,

I've the same problem.
The new VPELDR.exe load coorectly and a part of programs in start menu but the programs that were not compiled to RAM aren't present.

Why the USB Key doesn't appear and the rest of startup shortcuts are not loaded ?

I think everyones understood the problem.

Thanks to all

Why the VPELDR.exe isn't supporting x64 operation system ?
I think this problem is big handicap for the VistaPE project :)

Regards :)

I replaced vpeldr.exe and now I get all I get is an error from the Windows Boot Manager saying "the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt".

Hi my friends ;)

I would like to add some movement to the environment because I think NightMan can not be abreast of our speed !

So we'll do our own work in this case ;)

myAut2Exe, The Open Source AutoIT Script Decompiler v2.7 B.112

Regards :)
