what about IE8-WindowsVista-x86-ENU and this script?

When I have created LivXP with this script have received one Warning in log.
Here log file :

log dosyasinda kullanilan script versionu v7
su anki script versionu v8
v8 kullanilirsa bu uyarinin alinmamasi gerekiyor.

according to log file you are using script v7
current is v8
if you use v8 you shouldnt get such an error

I have updated a script to v8 and a warning was gone

i thought making ie8 script too but it doesnt seem to me worth to work on because ie8 size is ~50 mb

That would be ok, if it can be turned into a script. It might come in very handy for users building a PE with the need of IE8 added features.

For those that cant spare the space on there PE, then they have the option to disable the script.

Downloaded the IE.script, because it is advertised as now being NaughtyPE compliant.

First surprise was that it was v13 while the first post states it would be version 11.

Second surprise was, that it didn't work. It gave a truckload of error messages. All saying the same.



Has anyone else this problem, or am i special?

belki autoit'i guncellemek istemezsin diye reg_import.au3'u eski versiona uyumlu olarak yeniden duzenledim
az once naughtype'de test ettim ve bir problemle karsilasmadim

guessing you might not like to update autoit.exe, i edit reg_import.au3 to be compatible with old version

i wrote au3 with v3.3

It's not so much that i don't like to update, it's just that i didn't knew, i had too.

It builds now without problem, but i still can't bring IE to work.
Eighter it opens fine and does nothing or it opens and as soon as it retrieves a page it complains about missing rights and trys to downlad the html page like a file.

Will tomorrow try to download a fresh copy of NaughtyPE, maybe my local copy went belly up.

The problem seems to be some cross dependency of IE.script

With 076 NaughtyPE is errorfree enough to reach the desktop and work (mostly), however there are a lot of little glitches. Building NaughtyPE with 072/074 creates the superior build.

No, NaughtyPE is frozen wnd will stay that way. Only bugfixes can be expected.

PS: Lancelot can you ask Saydin if he ever tryed a NaughtyPE build with only IE as App and if this was successful?

I stop testing now. It's kinda pointless. IE seems only to work under very specific circumstances at the moment.
Maybe saydin can post the settengs with which IE runs successfully for him, then i do another test.

Info: wb already uses syswow64 of registry, for today (till wb077rc1) no need any redirect for reg_import.au3 , if required tomorrow solution already exists.

Well i just tested twice with livexp working.

Fixes above dont solve naughtype wb074 issue, but at least helps to get less errors on log
With Naughty i made testssss with the script modfied.

wb074 test result with failure, desktop icon not working too

Thanks for all the nice tips. But for me it's not even working with 076! And that's the point i do not get.
Cause when build with 076, there are no error messages, except for the install failed.

I tinkered around a bit and the problem seems to be that the IE rendering engine isn't working or is not there.

Even when i get IE to load a page, without crashing or trying to download it as file, the page is never displayed.

Yes the driversigning suppressing somehow is affected by the script. Will look into that, when we have a IE script that works as flawless in NaughtyPE as it does in LiveXP.

In fact, with livexp we have 3 scripts that works flawless, 2 of them are available one of them already in project , other one is saydin's script ...
From my point of view, after you reproduce my finding, it is up to you to make the script wb074 compatible since you are the one who knows what can be done or not more than saydin77 and me..or...

I have absolutely no idea what magic you're working, Lancelot. But with the same scripts selected, IE hangs as always.
I even moved the winbuilder folder to top level for a build. Same result.

What do you mean you have 2 working in LiveXP? I can't find any IE scripts on the LiveXP server.

Made some fixes on IE6 v14 script and tested,
wb072a,NaughtyPE,W2K3SP1_TR = works fine
WB77B1,LiveXP,XPSP2_TR = works fine
I cant test now with enu cd since they are not available at the moment.

Still not working with Wb072a, XPSP2eng and Lancelots set of scripts.
Somehow there seems to go always the same wrong.
Old version + WB076 + XPSP2eng = New version + WB072a + XPSP2eng
