@Mr W. Insane

If you have a VHD on a USB HDD that works, then you should be able to just copy the VHD file to the Removable E2B USB drive \_ISO\MAINMENU folder and boot directly from it?

Check the 4K Random Write benchmark figure of your USB flash drive. My Lexar P20 takes over 1 hour to boot to a Win10 VHD because it is extremely slow on 4K Random writes (and is impossible to use once booted!), the SanDisk Extreme USB drive takes under 30 seconds and runs well!

Maximum theoretical bandwidth is 5Gbps.
36% of that is overhead.

That is ~400MB/sec

But speed and efficiency is dependent on
a number of factors including PC motherboard design.

Is not only how flash drive is fast - but everything else together from case to case.

Waiting for the day when will be a external  mini PCI Express bus connectors on all computers.

Universal Serial PCI Express Bus . . .

USPEB 1.0

 And That Haven’t Been Invented Yet. :hyper:   :buehehe:

P.S. "Ten years ago, America had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope and Johnny Cash. Now we have no jobs, no hope and no cash."

Actually Bob Hope and Johnny Cash both died in 2003 - so this is no longer true! You need to say 15 years ago!

Well, that's easy IF you existed, by now you would have fixed the many months old board issues with attachments.

Since you did not, you don't exist.

Why is this topic still getting responses? I didn't even bother to buy a drive, I don't really need it. My last post up until today was in July, around 4 months ago. It should be pretty clear that I've long since lost interest. If I saw that an OP was no longer posting for a significant time frame, I wouldn't bother responding. Just let it die, happens on forums all the time. Go start your own thread with a slightly different focus.

@Mikorist: Then you and Wonko the Sane have something in common, you both live in the past, whereas I'm concentrated on the present/future. There is an old saying, we must not forget the past or it will be repeated. But that doesn't mean we should spend an inordinate amount of time dwelling on it. On a sidenote, time travel in any direction is impossible if you ask me, since the past is what has happened and future is yet to come. But more important, time is a theoretical construct created by humans to better help us understand things. Therefore, travelling in it is impossible.

@Mikorist

Good :), after all you do exist.  :D

@Zoso

It seems like there is not a perfect coincidence between what OP feels entitled to and what other members believe he is entitled to.

Anyway it is good to know how WhateverIsHIsNameToday didn't really need a new USB stick, and additionally since he admittedly has lost interest in the matter, any real or presumed title of property or exclusivity on this thread by him should be considered void and null, and the thread can be safely considered belonging to the Community (not that it wasn't anyway ;)).

I never stated I "owned" the thread or am "entitled" to it. If that belongs to anyone it would be Nuno, all posts on this forums are his legal copyright. So not a "community" property. I do believe I used the exact wording "this topic" in the first sentence, implying a different meaning. So this is just Wonko and Mikorist making unfounded assumptions based on their misguided interpretations.

But I do think you guys should go start your own topic with a different slant if you're still interested in discussing it. When I first made the thread I thought it was a stupid topic title anyway, but couldn't think of a better way to put it.

The main reason I didn't buy a drive is because the cost to benefit ratio is a bit too high right now. I have read and looked into the info given in every post, I may still make a purchase later.

Look at the address in your browser, it should read something like:
hxxp://reboot.pro/topic/21196-what-is-the-fastest-available-usb-30-flash-drive-that-is-also-128gb/page-2

It is fairly easy to take topic for thread (or viceversa). :unsure:

Anyway I am pretty sure you meant whatever you meant, neither more nor less:

@Wonko the Insane: Seriously?! You have nothing better to nitpick over? Of course we all know that a topic and a thread are pretty much the same thing, kind of like a forum and a BBS are mostly the same. What next, an argument about oranges/tangerines/grapefruit? So, what, exactly, is your fucking point?! Just say it already (as if I care one way or another anyway).....

The person doing the talking gets to determine the meaning of their statements. And I'm pretty good at saying what I mean and meaning what I say. Being direct helps to minimize the possibility of confusion and misinterpretation. But it's not in my control that others tend to make idiotic statements sometimes. Others' opinion on the matter means nothing to me, since opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. I am no respecter of opinions.

Did I miss a deja-vu? ;)

I have an idea.

That we  all change usernames here.

Let's say, my username to  be:

"Mikorist the Sane"

And then later to open another :

"Mikorist the Insane"

Then we will have in forum 60305 the Sane  and 60305 the Insane members. :rolleyes:

Just kidding. ;)

This thread, the fastest available USB 3.0 flash drive, and everything become meaningless (in the sense that there won't be any practical result). :baby:

Keyrings are so '90's, that kind of USB sticks are generally used with a (Neodymium) Magnet Belt Holder, example  :w00t: :

https://www.mtsmagne...lt-clip/a-4056/

And of course this:

Hard disks, EC cards and electronic devices such as TVs, monitors, clocks and watches are prone to strong magnetic fields. This leads to data loss and damage. Please keep a safety distance of min. 1 meter. Magnets must not be placed near meters, e.g. gas meters.

explains the length of the stick ;).
