File name: CCleaner

Description:
CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes temporary and unused files from your system, cleans your registry, and removes your Internet history. Loaded by Runscanner so it can clean a target system. Now with RunScanner 1.0.0.22 and the /v /x switches, it cleans the target system's user temp files directory.

Don't try to clean a Vista system from an XP -based build.

Updated version 31 Jul 2009 - now downloads the most recent version automatically. Also allows choosing the language at build time. Fixed bug that messed up the initial download.

Update 15 May 2010 to require msvcrt.dll.

Updated September 17 2010 - wasn't copying properly to %TargetProg%

Download file

Hi, is there a way to integrate the CCleaner+ runscanner into the Context Menu? so like Antivir for example to push for example a direct assigned file,folder,Drive,......

so because i would like to scan the offline windows, not the Vistape itselfs ;(

The script includes Runscanner, so when you run it CCleaner cleans the offline windows. It does not do a complete job because CCleaner is not written to handle such situations.

What would it do that it does not do now, if it was integrated into the context menu?

Hi there ;)

i wouldn't ask for such possibility if i hadn't problems for scanning local disks

i expanded the script to:

ccleaner 2.21.940+
runscanner 1.8.1

so i configured 2 shortcuts, one for ccleaner (in your script ccleaner will start with runscanner.exe as i remember)
i changed to ccleaner.exe for the new version+ runscanner.exe to start runscanner.

so but for each application he scans only x:, B:(ramdisk). they do not recognized the local disks.

in the ccleaner gui i marked also the local disk for scanning, but seems to be not applied. from the vistape itself's there are no problems to access the local drives.

so with the context menue entrys it was my background mind to force the C:\ or D:\ for example to scan ;)

Current version of runscanner is 1.0.0.23. Don't know where you got 1.8.1 from. Its downloaded from:

http://www.paraglide...ins/plugins.htm

or from:

It should automatically clean drive C:

CCLeaner.png

If it is not doing that, try this:

  • Open CCLeaner in VistaPE
  • Pick Start | Run and run regedit
  • Expand HKEY_USERS by clicking the + next to it
  • Do you see a DEFAULT_ON_C item? Do you see any other {soemthing}_ON_C items?

Then you are running CCLeaner directly, and not with Runscanner. Are you clicking on the CCleaner desktop or start menu shortcut, or on the program itself? You should be doing the former.

hi ;)

i see.

yes as i told i used the wrong runscanner.exe see 4 mails ago.

i changed the script with newest ccleaner+the wrong runscanner

so anyway which steps are necessary to integrate the local disks in my special case? ;)

if is too hard to manage, i will try to change this script only to the latest ccleaner version ;) in usage with the correct runscanner ;)

Sry for wasting time ;) i'am little bit confused in the last days. i need holiday ;)

I think you should download the script again and start over. A new version of CCLeaner just came out. CCLeaner 2.21.940 script

new version fails for me.

[codebox][Info] [// See if we have to do a full download] [Failed] IniRead - Failed to find file: [%BaseDir%\Workbench\Common\CCleaner\CCleanerVer.ini][/codebox] the file is actually extracted to %PE_PROGRAMS%\CCleaner not %GlobalTemplates%

CCleaner.ini is extracted to %Target_Prog%\CCleaner, CCleanerver.ini is created in %GlobalTemplates%\CCleaner ... if that directory exists. A line got dropped , so that directory wasn't created. Try it now.

Looks like JonF stutters when writing!
IMO this
DirCopy,%GlobalTemplates%\%ProgramFolder%\%ProgramFolder%,%Target_Prog%
should be replaced by this
DirCopy,%GlobalTemplates%\%ProgramFolder%,%Target_Prog%

File name: CCleaner
Don't try to clean a Vista system from an XP -based build.

How about cleaning a Vista or Win7 system, from a Win7 based build?
