RAM Disk Too Small?

imdisk ramdisk compression

Its file based compression so compression only happens in the background after the files are copied. You can use a tool like robocopy to retry after the ram disk fills up.

Hi

ImDisk rocks!

Problem:
i created a 800MB non-dynamic, NTFS, compressed RAM disk. Tried to copy 500MB to it (from non-compressed NTFS folder). Got "out of room" error.

Then: created 1GB dynamic, NTFS, compressed RAM disk. Tried to copy 500MB to it. Again, got "out of room" error.

Any fix?

On Windows 10

thx!

You are seemingly using the Toolkit.
As said in the related tooltip, NTFS compressed is really not recommended with dynamics ramdisks.

About the error you mention, this is a behavior of NTFS. It's not related to the ramdisk.
